Rather than focusing on complex mechanisms or modular play, the CC42 is built around one thing: achieving the right fit. Simply choose the correct size combination for a secure, comfortable wearing experience.

Each CC42 is crafted from medical-grade 316L stainless steel and individually hand-polished to achieve a smoother, more refined finish than standard machine-polished cages. Every edge and inner surface receives detailed finishing work, creating a luxurious feel with excellent comfort for extended wear.

One of the defining strengths of the CC42 is its unusually broad size range:

• Flat Ring sizes: 1.69–2.44 in (43–62 mm)
• Cage lengths: 2.68–5.64 in (68–128 mm)

Traditional steel cages often provide only a single 1.77 in (45 mm) ring option. The CC42 instead offers more precise sizing throughout the critical 40–50 mm range, including 43 mm and 47 mm options. While the difference may appear small, even 2 mm can significantly affect comfort, stability, and long-term wearability.

At the upper end, the 2.44 in (62 mm) ring size provides one of the largest standard options available, helping solve fitting issues for users who previously struggled with limited sizing choices.

For 2025, the curvature of the cage body was further refined compared to the 2024 version, creating a closer and more ergonomic fit against the body.

The CC42 is designed specifically around the Flat Ring structure and uses a traditional keyed brass-core locking system. Unlike the modular CC39 platform, the CC42 is not compatible with the store’s interchangeable accessory ecosystem or tube attachments. Its appeal comes from simplicity, elegance, stability, and classic Cobra aesthetics.

For users who prefer the newer Arc Ring version of this platform, the Arc Ring edition is available separately as the CC45.

Compared to the CC42, the CC39 platform supports interchangeable ring styles such as Flat Ring, Arc Ring, Wearable Ring, and Ball Support Ring. The CC39 Medium size can also be paired with silicone or stainless steel tubes, while the CC40 is the hex-lock version of that system.

Both the CC39 and CC42 are made from durable 316L stainless steel and offer excellent smoothness and visual finish. The difference lies mainly in structure and finishing philosophy:
