This is the second cage I’ve owned and I am so happy with it. Compared to my first cage it is better than my first one on many points, equal on some and has only one or two very subjective drawbacks, one of which I don’t mind.
The cage itself is lightweight yet sturdy and I can easily forget it’s even there most of the time, the only drawback I have for it is it gets scratched very easily. I have been exceedingly careful with mine but within a week it had several shallow scratches on the penis facing side and the last time I looked it had a shallow roughly 1 square mm gouge on the front face, I can only imagine these have come from interactions with the very blunt keys so I’m taking extra care to keep these seperate than I did originally.
The rings are comfortable, and while the slight opening means I have to go for a smaller size than I normally would to avoid a testicle slipping out, they remain comfortable and secure the cage against all but my most serious attempts to slip free. Compared to my first cage where the rings despite being squared and painful to wear, the cage would flop over under its own weight, this is a considerable upgrade.
The lock is probably as low security as you can get. It being a single pin lock I have been able to consistently pick it one-handed with just about any conceivable impromptu pick I’ve thought to try. For me this is not a downside because I am wearing it voluntarily and enthusiastically, and I’m clumsy enough that I will likely lose both keys repeatedly but still need to clean up. I only bring this up because I see it being a problem for other people and it will not negatively impact my score.
I recently took a risk and ordered a CCU06 sounding tube and am happy to report that despite neither product stating it, this cage is compatible with the tube.
